Who am I?

I’m a believer in Jesus, He is my everything and without Him I would not be here today. I’m Colombian and moved to the US as a teen with the only dream of the day I would return. Oblivious to what was ahead, I had many dreams that soon would be crushed with the reality of being undocumented.

I’m also a single mom of two precious girls, who escaped domestic violence to teach them that their value is given by the one who died on the cross for them, and that they can overcome any adversity in Jesus who is their only source of strength.

Quien soy?

Creo en Jesús; Él es mi todo y sin Él no estaría aquí hoy. Soy colombiana y me mudé a Estados Unidos en mi adolescencia con el único sueño de regresar a mi querida tierra. Ajena a lo que me esperaba, tenía muchos sueños que pronto se verían destrozados por la realidad de ser indocumentada.

También soy madre soltera de dos preciosas niñas, quien escapo violencia doméstica para enseñarles que su valor proviene de quien murió en la cruz por ellas, y que pueden superar cualquier adversidad en Jesus que es su única fuente de fortaleza.

My journey

I share my experiences as an immigrant minor, highlighting the struggles I faced and the resilience I found through my faith in Jesus. My hope is to inspire others to overcome life’s challenges, to give a voice to immigrants who like me, have a story to tell. I aspire to make a difference in someone’s life by ensuring there is hope for the future because it lays on God’s hands.

Mi trayectoria

Comparto mis experiencias como niña inmigrante, destacando las dificultades que enfrenté y la resiliencia que encontré a través de mi fe en Jesús. Mi deseo es inspirar a otros a superar los desafíos de la vida, dar voz a inmigrantes que como yo, tienen una historia que contar. Anhelo marcar la diferencia en la vida de alguien, asegurando que haya esperanza para el futuro, porque este está en manos de Dios.

About this journey

This site shares my journey as an immigrant, facing challenges of abuse and adversity. The stories are told to my younger self ensuring she knows her faith in Jesus will sustain her through it all.

My story serves as encouragement to those who have walked or may be walking a similar path.

Lessons learned

Through my life experiences, I’ve learned the only way to make it through life is to hold on tight to the hand of God. I aim to share these vulnerable stories to motivate others, showing that it’s possible to rise above hardships and difficult obstacles by the grace that only comes from above.

A través de mis experiencias, he aprendido que la única manera de salir adelante es aferrándome firmemente a la mano de Dios. Mi objetivo es compartir estas historias vulnerables para motivar a otros, mostrando que es posible superar las dificultades y los obstáculos difíciles con la gracia que solo viene del cielo.

My mission

My mission is to empower others with stories of hope and survival. Each experience shared seeks to motivate them to face their own challenges, and push forward succeeding against all odds. Knowing that they are not walking alone, and although it may not seem like it, Jesus is carrying them through it all.

Mi misión

Mi misión es empoderar a otros con mis historias de esperanza y supervivencia. Cada experiencia compartida busca motivarlos a enfrentar sus propios desafíos y a seguir adelante, superando todas las adversidades. Sabiendo que no caminan solos y, aunque no lo parezca, Jesús los lleva en Sus brazos.

Sharing my experiences

By sharing my life experiences, I hope to connect with others who can relate to my story. Whether they were abused as a child, moved to a new country as a teen, or faced the frustration and impotence of being an undocumented immigrant, who may feel lost and hopeless. My narrative is a testimony that obstacles can be overcome but not with one’s own strength, but with faith in their creator

Compartiendo mis experiences

Al compartir mis experiencias de vida, espero conectar con otras personas que se identifiquen con mi historia. Ya sea que hayan sufrido abuso en la infancia, los hayan llevado a un nuevo país en la adolescencia o hayan enfrentado la frustración e impotencia de ser inmigrantes indocumentados, que quizá se sienten perdidos y sin esperanza. Mi narrativa es un testimonio de que los obstáculos se pueden superar, pero no con su propia fuerza, sino con la fe en su creador.
